Quaint small town on Lake Charlevoix. Crystal clear lake with wonderful swimming and fishing (voted 2nd most beautiful lake in the US by USA today.
Fall is also a great time to visit as the fall colors are gorgeous. We are also 10 minutes from Boyne Mountain for winter skiing. Boyne City has some of the best golf in Northern Michigan with 42 championship golf courses within one hour. Boyne Resort, Bay Harbor Resort are nearby for excellent lodging.
![Redford, The township was initially created as Bucklin Township in 1827. Due to postal regulations prohibiting two post offices having the same name, when the township was further subdivided unique names had to be found. Thus Bucklin was divided into Pekin and Nankin, a result of a wave of interest in China. Pekin was further divided in 1833 into Redford and Dearborn Townships.
