Small(1 1/2 blocks village,good schools,quaint with antique firehouse and trucks,barbershop with red&white pole outside,one room Library,Town Hall bldg burnt and in process of repair.Small enough that everyone knows everyone ! ![Redford, The township was initially created as Bucklin Township in 1827. Due to postal regulations prohibiting two post offices having the same name, when the township was further subdivided unique names had to be found. Thus Bucklin was divided into Pekin and Nankin, a result of a wave of interest in China. Pekin was further divided in 1833 into Redford and Dearborn Townships.
