Less than 30 minutes from one of the most concentrated shop-a-holic's favorite city- Dallas. Forney is a city in Kaufman County, Texas, and has been named by the Texas legislature as the "Antique Capital of Texas". Forney is a small town with big ideas and plans. The vision that growth and commerce is vital to sustaining a city was evident in 1873 when the town fathers moved the then village of Brooklyn North to the rail line.The prairies that surrounded the town were covered with a native grass that was found to produce a sweet, nutritious hay when cut and baled. For the next 50 years "Forney Prairie Hay"' as it was known, was one of the leading export products of Forney. Forney has quickly become the destination town between the big City of Dallas and all the desireable lake areas in Texas.

TUCSON, Located in the Southwest United States, in Southern Arizona, Tucson is one of the oldest continually inhabited areas in North America. Hohokam Indians lived and farmed here for 4,000 years before Spanish missionaries and soldiers arrived in the late 1600s. In the 1700s, these "newcomers" established the Presidio San AgustÃn del Tucson and the Mission San Xavier del Bac -- the two most iconic and historic structures in the region. "The Old Pueblo," as the adobe-walled Tucson Presidio became known, is Tucson's nickname to this day.

Tucson officially was founded on August 20, 1776 -- an event celebrated annually at Tucson's birthday party, La Fiesta de San AgustÃn. Though once part of Mexico, Tucson officially became part of the United States in 1854. Soon after, cattle ranchers, settlers, miners, and Apache Indians began to clash, thus beginning the Wild West era of 1860-1880. With the Southern Pacific Railroad's arrival in 1880, Tucson's multicultural roots grew as new residents adopted customs of the Tohono O'odham Indians and Mexicans living here. In 1877, the city was incorporated, making Tucson the oldest incorporated city in Arizona.
Encircled by mountain ranges and bookended by the two units of Saguaro National Park, Tucson is Arizona's second-largest city, and, for the vacationer, it has everything that Phoenix has to offer, plus a bit more. There are world-class golf resorts, excellent restaurants, art museums and galleries, an active cultural life, and, of course, plenty of great weather. Tucson also has a long history that melds Native American, Hispanic, and Anglo roots. And with a national park, a national forest, and other natural areas just beyond the city limits, Tucson is a city that celebrates its Sonoran Desert setting.
