Goodyear, The city of Goodyear (GY), AZ is located on the far west side of the valley in the Phoenix metro area, home to the Goodyear Ballpark, where the Cincinnati Reds & Cleveland Indians of the MLB practice their spring training. In 2008, GY won the All-America City Award, sponsored by the National Civic League. Our city is named after the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, when the company had farmland to grow cotton for their tires. It is a 15-min drive from the University of Phoenix Stadium where the AZ Cardinals of the NFL play their home-games & a 5-min drive to the Phoenix International Raceway, which hosts NASCAR twice a year. Our most prize possession are our men & women who serve at neighboring Luke AFB, home of the F-16 fighter jets., Southwest

Phoenix, It's desert. It's super hot in the summer, but nice the rest of the year. There are lots of cacti, and the cactus trees that are most famous are the saguaros. There are lots of desert animals, desert squirrels, coyotes, jack rabbits, lizards, snakes, scorpions, etc.

Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the US. So is it built up? Yes! Most of the houses are made in the Southwestern style with tile roofs and stucco on the outside. The colors of the houses are meant to blend in with the desert, so they're usually an offwhite, beige, brown, green, something like that.

There are palm trees in the neighborhoods. They don't grow naturally in the desert, but people will plant them in the downtown areas and in subdivisions.

You can see for miles. Phoenix is a valley, surrounded by beautiful mountains. It's called, "The Valley of the Sun," because it's sunny most of the time. In the summer, it's so sunny, your sunglasses barely help. It's so hot, it's like being in an oven.

Goodyear is a diverse community with a variety of ethnic backgrounds that consist of young well-educated families to retirees living out their golden years in the Arizona sun, surrounded by mountains & beautiful desert landscape.
Goodyearâs most prize possession are the men & women who serve at neighboring Luke Air Force Base, home to the F-16 fighter jets.

Personal note: My husband retired from the USMC after 30 years of military service, so it was nice to finally settle in Goodyear, a place that we now call home in a community we absolutely love. In addition, having family stateside is an added bonus, especially being near my Mom & brother who are both not physically well.
We bought our home in late 2010, hoping we could begin landscaping immediately. However, other financial obligations took priority putting our landscaping plans on hold for a later time.
Already 2 1/2 years have gone by, & as you can see from the photos, we have yet to landscape. I believe we are the only home in our housing community that does not have a landscaped backyard.
I can not begin to tell you how much my husband & I would love to spend our free time in the backyard relaxing & enjoying Arizonaâs beautiful days & evenings in the fall, winter, & spring, and how nice it would be to jump in a spool on those blistering hot summer days, as well.
More then anything, I'd love to have a warm & welcoming backyard that would be a gathering place for family & friends, and a sanctuary to spend what time we have left with our loved-ones.
Our backyard landscaping is long overdue, so with that being said, Yard Crashers, CRASH ME, PLEASE!!!!!!

azle, We are a little town, we have a ace hardware and a true value I believe,walmart ,few stores a nursery one high school,mostly people live outside the city limits. We always go about 20 miles to Lowes., Southwest

Bloomington, Bloomington is an unincorporated town in San Bernardino County California which is the largest county in the United States. The population was 23,851 at the 2010 census. Presently, part of the community is still rural and many residents continue to keep and raise animals. The climate in Bloomington tends to be stable year round with the exception of the Santa Ana Winds.
