Created: 7 hours ago | Flag Punta Gorda is in southwest Florida between Sarasota and Fort Myers and probably most known as the city directly hit unexpectedly by Hurricane Charley Aug 13, 2004. It is located on the NE area of Charlotte Harbor meeting the Peace River. Although Punta Gorda means âFat Pointâ in Spanish, many people refer to it as Paradise. It is quaint and quiet, yet very close to big cities if needed. |
Its a fabulous suburb of Orlando, Florida. It's about 10-15 minutes down the interstate, without traffic :. The community is within minimal driving distance of everything you need...shopping, restaurants, grocery. It's a community that I'm excited for my child to grow up in! |
