HOUSTON, TEXAS, Houston .. the 4th largest city in the U.S. and the largest city in the State of Texas. Home of the world's largest healthcare and research institutions - Texas Medical Center and NASA's Johnson Space Center. A global city with a population of approx. 2.1 million people.  Houston was named after General Sam Houston who had commanded at the Battle of San Jacinto. Houston attracts more than 7 million visitors a year because of the many cultural institutions, exhibits, museums, performing arts and more.  It has several major airports. I live in the Brentwood Subdivision of Houston which is a mere 15 minutes from the  Texas Medical Center., Southwest
Sioux City area, The Sioux City metro area covers three states, Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Community leaders and citizens try to cooperate and support each other as much as they can while dealing with three states' different regulations and funding.

Though not hit as hard as many communities along the Missouri (or in Minot, ND), there have been too many families whose homes are being damaged and destroyed.  Few have flood insurance because flooding on this scale was never predicted.  I think our community would benefit greatly from having the Crashers come when the waters recede later this summer and help even just a few people bring some beauty to their homes again., Midwest

San Antonio, In the last five years this side of town has been developed it is warm, it is a vacation spot, 5 min to Sea World and a torist attraction, the River walk is a fun place for families and is about 20 min away. Everyone in our town is very friendly , Midwest
