Rustic Kitchen Udate, We recently updated our kitchen by giving it a facelift that was way over due. I painted the bottom of our run-of-the-mill oak cabinets in Federal Gray and the tops in Pure White using the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation kits. My husband added a false top and decorative molding to the upper cabinets to add height. We added recessed lighting and a new light fixture over the sink. For widow casings, my husband added more molding and crown to the tops. I made simple cafe curtains for the windows and hung them with simple cafe tension rods. We added more molding to our awkward column located near the bar and a shelf over the fridge to fill in the wasted space. The two big splurges that we made in the room, were the copper farmhouse sink with new faucet and granite countertops. The walls were painted in Valspar Eddie Bauer, Cloth. A framed chalkboard wall for displaying the kids artwork and grocery lists finished the room. , Kitchens

Family Room Bar, Our family room was an awkward size and we were never able to figure out what to do with the space. We decided to split the room up and build a bar on one side and media area on the other. It really came out beautiful and created a fun, functional space., Other Spaces
Plastered wall , This is the original wall detail, I like it but I want a more modern look. Should I get rid of it? If not, how can I modernize it?, Living Rooms
