Ainsley's Room, Our first try at a girl's nursery/room. After 3 boys I finally got to add in some pink..althoughI still didn't believe it so the room is green and all accents pink so I could switch them out to blue. I see comments about "clutter" but honestly there's not any...the clothes on chair are big bros waiting to be worn an unopened boppy ..nothing else is out of place. Nothing on the 8x10 rug placed in front of the crib. shelves/bins are there because there is no closet/chest, Nurseries
My Bedroom Sanctuary, Just got new furniture that I LOVE. Kindof big for my little apartment bedroom I figure it will fit in just right in a future master bedroom. Any ideas what else I could do or change with it now?, Bedrooms
Country Yard Makeover, I decided to build a patio out of brick (keystones). Instead of making it away from the house i decided to go all along the back of my house. It was quite a chore but well worth it. I can look out in my back yard and enjoy my work. , Yards
serenity now, this is our work in progress...our backyard retreat, Yards
Contemporary Fusion Great Room, I long for a hip urban loft space. My reality is a builders tract home. Long on square footage short on character. This is my attempt at loft style in the suburbs. Most of the time my ideas are bigger than my budget so I try to use common objects in uncommon ways. I started by removing the carpet and staining the concrete sub-floor. The drapery rods are copper plumbing pipes. The painting was done on a masonite sheet with left over house paint. The "zebra" rug is a stenciled cow hide. , Living Rooms
Worst Kitchen in America, We're beginning our kitchen demolition this weekend. Anyone have tips? Ya'll are ruthless on here so be kind - we have a limited budget and 5 kids so it needs to be very family friendly. I will be SO glad to see the nasty carpet go! , Kitchens
