Spare Country Modernism, This is a house owned by a few friends of mine who live in the countryside of Massachusettes. They have beautiful land--multiple acres--and they wanted their house to be more open & light-drenched etc. When I was visiting them theyd recently brought in an interior designer from Boston (Stacy Curran of <a href="http://www.southshoredecoratingblog.com/2012/10/design-crush-rachael-reider.html">South Shore Decorating</a>) and I was really inspired by the starkness and clarity that the new design created in their dining room's space. The flat planar--almost geometrical--quality of the modernist furniture, echoes, the lush grassy plain outside of their window. , Dining Rooms
