Half Stonewall Surprise!, We removed a cracked pond and side planters thinking we had a full stonewall behind pond and the dirt but all we got was a 3 foot wall on top and 2 feet of dirt on the bottom. Now we have no idea how to support the wall to fill it in with more stone or what to do with to make it look appealing., Decks & Patios

Help Renovate an Indoor Recessed Hot Tub in Sunroom, Our sunroom had very old octagon hot tub with a wood frame built around it covered with outdoor grass carpet and a removable panel to access the "homemade" electric/pump/filter/heater components. We bought a new 2011 hot tub (78"x82"x36") over xmas and emptied/cleaned the recessed cavity this weekend (roughly 100"square at room/floor level but cavity walls are bumpy and slightly tapered towards the bottom; ~36-40"deep from floor level to center base of cavity). It has an open pvc drain pipe in the bottom center with grooves cut to the sides as opposed to the base sloped towards the center; a faucet/hose connection and a new up-to-code electric box, green hose & grey conduit can be seen in pics. We need to build a base for the tub to sit on raising it up a tad and keeping the current drain pipe (drains to outside we believe), a surrounding platform slightly above floor level (tile, stone, or landscaping/patio style?) with a way for overflow water to drain off platform but right to the cavity drain, not just into the cavity itself. We want to ensure convenient access to the main components of the new hot tub as well as and accessibility to the faucet/hose and the electric box but have them out of sight. Basically, have it permanently built in but so we don't need to destroy it to replace/repair down the road. IDEAS for all or some steps??? *Sunroom is at ground level next to the house which has a full walkout basement but the basement isn't under this room nor is under this room really accessible from outside along the landscaping., Decks & Patios
square cement post anchors, On Yard Crashers they showed a square cement post anchor that you push 4 metal rods through to anchor it to the ground. I need them and can't find them! , Decks & Patios
The lake under my house, So I've been renting this house out for the last 5 years. Now we movd back in and this is what Ive found. My back patio is cracked, no big deal but the real issue is that there is a giant pocket right under the middle of it. I extended it myself years ago before I moved out, my first attempt at laying cement but the pocket is under the origonal patio.I started to bury some old cinder blocks that are full of concrete already and I wanted to try and add them as new feet to add some support.but I have stopped and I need a fresh pair of eyes on it. Now what I want to do is not only fix the cracks and add some support underneath, but also close off the pocket so its not flooding out every time it rains creating an ever growing pocket under my house. And it whould be great if I didnt have to destroy any of the patio in the process., Decks & Patios
Drainage, Newly laid paver brick patio and I have standing water. I am thinking of drilling small holes in the low area to allow the water to seep quicker into the ground. Below the patio I installed a french drain that I think will handle the water. What size of drill bit should I use and should I be concerned about the life of the bricks I drill into?, Decks & Patios
